True Will: What it is, how to discover it, and what to do with it

The concept of "True Will" is of paramount importance to Thelema.
Without a solid understanding of True Will, Magick is a hit-or-miss proposition.
The first task of every Thelemite should be to discover his or her True
Will. Although each individual must accomplish this discovery for him or
herself, the O.T.O. may assist by providing a supportive environment and tools for
the magician to use in his or her quest. To this end, Frater SLQ presents
his class entitled "True Will: What it is, how to discover it, and what to do
with it."
The class will cover the the theory of the True Will in terms of
Thelemic doctrine and psychology, introduce practical techniques for discovering
it, and discuss what to do with it once you've found it. The class promises to
be enlightening for beginners and experienced magicians alike.

An Intensive Seminar and Ritual on the Formula of Babalon

Led by Soror Magdalena

This day long seminar and ritual is designed to immerse you in the concepts of the Divine Feminine in the New Aeon. Beginning with a discussion of man's relationship to his gods we will move to an historical look at what may be seen as the seeds of the new aeon concept of female godhood. As the new aeon approaches we will examine the development of the Babalon archetype from The Revelation of John through Dee and Kelly, Crowley and finally Jack Parsons.

The second portion of the seminar will focus on the esoteric. A look at a new myth of creation, Babalon's influences on the tree of life and an analysis of the Name. Finally, from this we will focus on these ideas and formulae with a system of magical and spiritual approach to Babalon - The Seven Stations of Desire. Here we will see how this formula is workable in the context of the ceremonial magician through a variety of means.

After a dinner break we will reconvene for the ritual portion - where each person will have the opportunity to experience these energies and workings in total through an invocatory ritual that will bring all of the afternoon's discussion into a highly charged Temple setting. Please dress comfortably, bring journals and writing tools and leave your pre-conceived and socially/politically correct ideas at home. No one will be admitted to the ritual that was not in attendance for the afternoon seminar.

Seminar: 1:00 - 6:00 pm
Ritual: 8:00 pm

Open to OTO initiates only!
Cost for the entire day is $25 and you must attend the workshop in order to attend the ritual. Members of LVX Lodge may attend for a discounted rate of $15.
