Historical/social/geographical context. The astrological chart\, the seven planets\, the
twelve signs\, the twelve houses\, and how these all inter-relate.
The purpose of this series is to familiarize the student new to CM with the language and systems that it employs. It aims to give the student enough information to be able to then continue his or her studies either independently or as a fully functioning member of a group of magicians. This series does not intend to teach the systems themselves\, but rather to familiarize a person with its language\, its symbols and its structure.

THELEMA AND THE DIVINE FEMININE
In this presentation we will examine the cultural biases embedded in our subconscious by dint of our upbringing in a world shaped by the Abrahamic faiths. For contrast\, we'll compare Western Abrahamic to Eastern Taoist approaches with respect to light and dark\, male and female. Finally\, we will consider the role of Crowley and Thelema in restoring balance to the Western tradition and psyche.
